The annual meeting of he American Association for Cancer Research will feature the latest findings in laboratory, translation and clinical research. More than 6,000 abstracts will be presented at the meeting, including:
nicotine supplements and tumor growth promotion;
cancer risk among people with AIDS, diabetes and metabolic syndrome;
the affects of soy on breast cancer risk in a 20,000-patient study;
new information on the role of HPV in lung cancer risk;
beer consumption and risk of stomach cancer;
improving the predictive value of the PSA test; and,
new ways of diagnosing lung cancer.
The AACR 102nd Annual Meeting 2011 attracts world leaders in cancer research and treatment, including clinical oncologists, basic scientists, translational researchers and epidemiologists, who are working to improve prevention, diagnosis and patient care with the ultimate goal of eradicating cancer.
