Schering-Plough Introduces New Antiviral Injection PegIntron for Chronic Hepatitis C Treatment - Tokyo (JCNN) -
Schering-Plough has announced that it has released PegIntron, a pegylated interferon preparation used in the treatment of
chronic hepatitis C infection.
In combination with Rebetol, Schering-Plough's existing antiviral drug, PegIntron, with a weekly injection, shows a
beneficial effect on patients with genotype 1 hepatitis C virus infection.
