The UK's Serious Fraud Office (SFO) has announced today that it will bring criminal charges against Ranbaxy (UK) Limited (RUKL) for alleged anti-competitive conduct in connection with the supply of penicillin based antibiotics between 1996 and 2000. Four other companies have also been notified that they will be charged.
RUKL has not yet been informed of the substance of the allegations against it nor the evidence upon which they are based and is therefore not in a position to comment. The company is not aware of any wrongdoing.

The current operations of RUKL remain unaffected by these developments.
